Workshops & Training
Dawn Reis has been working on Wildlife Related Projects since 1987 and has been working with amphibians and reptiles since 1993. She has conducted a number of amphibian and reptiles trainings for Natural Resource Agency Staff. She really enjoys tailoring workshops for natural resource staff, so that they can learn more wildlife ecology and management to aid them with projects that are under their own review or management. If your staff has specific workshop needs, please call so that we talk about what that may look like for you.
Past workshops include: River Restoration (co-taught with Dr. William Henry UC Santa Cruz) Amphibian and reptile ecology and management recommendations for San Mateo County. California red-legged frog ecology, survey methods and handling. Amphibian and reptile species identification, range and ecology and field sampling methods for Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. Special-status wildlife species of Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. Amphibian and Reptiles of Santa Cruz and Monterey County Sediment catch basin workshop: Management Recommendations and Ecology of Special Status Amphibians.
